The Charlotte County Archives is excited to announce the beginning of a new program! The Junior Volunteer Program is aimed at young adults between 14 to 18 who would be interested in volunteering at the Archives. Successful applicants would be introduced to basic archival work. Someone who feels they may wish to pursue a career as an Archivist would get a taste of what that work is like, and anyone fascinated by local history would find the work very rewarding. An added benefit would be that the training would put the Junior Volunteers in a more competitive position to apply for paid summer positions at the Archives upon graduation from high school.
