The Archives will be a happening place in September!
The hours will be changing on September 1st...we'll be closed on Saturdays now. New hours will be 10:00 – 4:30 Monday to Friday.
The summer students have gone back to university and Kate Akagi is taking their place for the month of September! Kate is famous for her tours...drop in and hear her tales about the Charlotte County Courthouse and the Old Gaol.
There are a number of Elder Hostel and Seniors bus tours booked to visit, and Kate will be arranging Mock Trials for these visits, when asked in advance. The resulting trials are a lot of fun, with members from the tours chosen to act as the accused, the victim, the lawyers, judge and jury.
Twelve to fifteen genealogists from all across America will be paying us a visit this month to search for their roots. The visit has been arranged by the New England Genealogical Society.
At the end of the month we'll be celebrating Culture Days in New Brunswick. The Archives will be offering free tours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 27 – 29, from 10:00 to 4:30 as part of this celebration of Arts and Culture in communities all across Canada.
