We think that a picture is worth a thousand words! Look at this picture of the majestic old Charlotte County Courthouse, built in 1840 and regarded today as one of the finest examples of 19th Century Architecture in Canada. The Courthouse is still in use at least once a month today and has been carefully maintained since 1840 in its original form.
Does the photo speak to you of trials in days gone by, of the men and women who passed through it's massive doors praying for justice? Perhaps you wonder about the Judges, or the most famous trials? Our tour guides know all the fascinating tales of the building and the people who passed through it over the years...take the tour, hear the stories, and soak up the atmosphere of this grand old building!
From June to September the Archives provides regular tours of the Courthouse and the Old Gaol.
